The Giants won last night against Mike Matheny's Cardinals by a score of 6-5. Sergio Romo came in to lock down the save with the score sitting at 6-4. He gave up a run in the process, but number 54 was able to slam the door.

The Giants send Bumgarner to the hill tonight. Bumgarner will aim to improve the teams record to an impressive 36-19 and his own record to seven wins and three losses. Bummy will be opposed by Adam Wainwright the Cards' ace.

Giants' Off Season

There has been little activity in the Giants' off season to this point. This is in part that the 2013 post season is not over yet. I am so excited that Hunter Pence is coming back for five years. I think that he will add a lot of stability not only to the Giants' outfield, but to the lineup as well. We have Marco Scutaro for one more year i presume. We did not see much of him at the tale end of the season because he was suffering from a broken pinkie. He tried to play, but could not due to the pain it caused him. He was scheduled to have pins put in his finger so we will see how that goes. I will update you next when the Giants begin to make off season moves at the winter meeting and more.

Sorry

I am so sorry that i have not been keeping up with this blog i will try to do better.

Melky Cabrera Update

The Giants have invited Melky Cabrera back to Spring Training. Melky Cabrera was traded from the Royals to the Giants for Jonathon Sanchez a former starter for the Giants during the 2011-2012 off season. During the season he played left field and led the National League in batting average and he won the All-Star Game MVP. He was later suspended in the middle of the season for the use of PED, or performance enhancing drugs. I am unsure the reasoning so, please stay tuned for further news on Melky Cabrera.
